Northern Lakes College

Northern Lakes College came to me with an objective to attract new students to their trades, university transfer, office admin and health services programs.

I used the economic boom that was underway during 2007 in their local market as a metaphor for how one's personal growth is going. I coupled this with the concept that students could "get ahead" at home without visiting a larger, metropolitan college.
The result is a multi-faceted campaign with 5 radio ads that make extensive use of "booming" sound effects and print/outdoor ads featuring images of objects and situations that "boom".

"As an educational institution with over 28 campuses serving an area of over 102,000 sq. km's we are often faced with marketing and communication challenges. We wanted something that would make an impact and draw the attention of our audience, while at the same time ensuring our brand messaging wasn't lost.
Under tight timelines, his dedication allowed us to get our campaign launched on time. The campaign was able to provide an exciting and consistent message throughout—allowing us to reach our target audience. We are very excited about what the next year will bring."
